JON GUISBERT
A former PENSOLE student and design instructor at PENSOLE Academy. Among Jon’s many accomplishments in the footwear space, he was most recently recognized for his work behind the design of the track spikes worn by Nia Akins, who took gold at the 2024 World Indoor & Outdoor Championships, and Olympic medalist Josh Kerr, who took home silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Jon was born and raised in Queens, New York and comes from a non-traditional background with a B.S. in accounting and law, and first worked as a public accountant and financial analyst before designing shoes for artists and athletes across the runway, NBA, and the Olympics.
He is an active member of the Latinx diversity group at Brooks, and when he’s not working on his next footwear project, is passionately creating artwork that archives his family’s Andean roots through his unique Latin-American design perspective.
